A special Blue-Ribbon Panel comprised of many members of the overall Pro Football Hall of Fame Selection Committee, Hall of Famers, coaches, football executives and several leading historians has scrutinized the merits of nearly 300 candidates nominated for consideration as part of the Hall’s special Centennial Class of 2020.

Singer Marie Fredriksson died Monday after a 17-year battle with cancer, her management company has confirmed.

NEWBURGH HEIGHTS, Ohio — Work 32 hours a week, but get paid for 40. That sounds like a dream, right?

It's becoming a reality in the village of Newburgh Heights. 

On Tuesday, Mayor Trevor Elkins introduced legislation to reduce the standard work week of full-time employees to 32 hours per week. The take-home pay of employees will stay the same and they will still receive their full-time benefits.

Newburgh Heights Village Council unanimously adopted the policy. 

According to a release from the village, the new policy is intended to provide personnel with an improved work-life balance, while also providing a competitive recruiting and retention advantage. 

Another big concert was just announced.

Maroon 5's new tour for 2020 is coming to Blossom Music Center with a 7 p.m. performance on Thursday, June 18.

Their show also includes special guest Meghan Trainor.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, Dec. 13 at noon.

PORT CLINTON, Ohio (WJW) - After a devastating barn fire that killed 10 animals at the African Safari Wildlife Park in Port Clinton, the park has decided to close for the winter season.
"With your care and support, we will recover from this crisis and look forward to welcoming visitors back to the Wildlife Park again in early Spring, 2020," the park wrote on its Facebook page.

PORT CLINTON, Ohio — The African Safari Wildlife Park in Port Clinton is mourning the loss of animals it housed in a barn that caught fire Thanksgiving evening.

It’s a time-honored tradition for many to watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, but this year it could be missing a key element: its 16 giant character balloons.

Officials in New York City may have to ground the iconic balloons due to windy conditions. They cannot be flown when sustained winds exceed 23 mph and gusts exceed 34 mph, per city regulations.
