STARK COUNTY, Ohio — Canton City Public Health in Stark County is asking for unused personal protective equipment to help fill the demand for healthcare workers on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic.

RAVENNA, Ohio — If you’re looking to stock up on fruits, vegetables and some dairy products but are practicing social distancing, a family-owned Portage County wholesale distributor has you covered.

Sirna & Sons Produce normally sells to restaurants, but has seen a bit of a decline in business since Governor Mike DeWine’s restrictions on restaurant dining rooms. The company decided to help the public by offering their items at wholesale prices.

President Donald Trump said Wednesday that the United States will temporarily close its border with Canada to “non-essential traffic” due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“We will be, by mutual consent, temporarily closing our Northern Border with Canada to non-essential traffic,” Trump wrote in a tweet.

“Trade will not be affected. Details to follow!”

GEAUGA COUNTY, Ohio (WJW) — Geauga Public Health has announced its first reported COVID-19 case in the county.

In a press release, officials urge all residents to adhere to the governor’s orders and to expand upon them voluntarily when possible.

CLEVELAND — Gov. Mike DeWine has ordered all bars and restaurants in the state to shut down.

Bars and restaurants are ordered to close by 9 p.m. on Sunday, according to an order delivered by DeWine.

DeWine said restaurants are still allowed to serve carry-out and delivery orders.

CANTON, Ohio — Gov. Mike DeWine said he wouldn't be surprised if Ohio schools didn't reopen this school year as coronavirus numbers continue to rise, according to News 5's media partners at the Canton Repository.

On Sunday, DeWine appeared on CNN's State of the Union and NBC's Meet the Press.

He also said that he is considering closing restaurants and bars across the state.
