R. Kelly might as well be record label-less right now -- because his current one has frozen him out ... putting new music on ice until the dust settles in his latest scandal ... TMZ has learned.

Sources familiar with R. Kelly's contract and dealings with RCA/Sony tell us ... the label will not produce any of the singer's new music, it will not put money behind any of his projects, and it will not release any additional music until the criminal investigations in Georgia and Atlanta and other fallout resolve one way or the other.

After 30 years in the music business and five Grammy awards, the Supa Dupa Fly artist isn't unfamiliar with making history. Canton’s Oldies/Classic Hits radio station, AM 1030 WDPN Radio will add midday programming, starting January 14th. AM 1310 WDPN Radio becomes the latest affiliate of “The John Tesh Radio Show” and his “Intelligence For Your Life” brand. This marks a return to the Canton, OH market for John Tesh, who previously was heard on 94.1.

Kevin Hart is apologizing to the LGBTQ Community once again ... the second time he's done so since walking away from the Oscars hosting gig.

Hart was on his "Straight From the Hart" podcast Monday where he got into a deep discussion about his past homophobic jokes and tweets. Hart -- who previously claimed he'd apologized for the remarks years ago -- admitted the prior apologizes had been "chopped up."

R. Kelly did not watch a single minute of the docuseries, "Surviving R. Kelly," that has now put him in the eye of a ferocious storm ... TMZ has learned.

Sources in day-to-day contact with R. Kelly tell TMZ, the singer is "disgusted" by the series, which makes shocking allegations against him including sex with various underage girls, physical abuse and mind control. People interviewed say he's running a sex cult.

The sources say R. Kelly views the series as a "vendetta" against him by producers and others who have hated him throughout his professional career.

The wordsmiths at Lake Superior State University have released LSSU’s 44th annual List of Words Banished from the Queen’s English for Mis-use, Over-use and General Uselessness.

“We grapple, litigate, and then yeet irritating words and phrases gathered from the nominations and votes received during 2018,” said an LSSU-OTUS thought leader from the word-banishment wheelhouse. “It’s the most important election of our time.”

LSSU’s word banishment tradition is now in its fifth decade, and was started by the late W. T. Rabe, a public relations director at Lake Superior State University. For every new year since 1976, LSSU — also known for premier programs in nursing, engineering, robotics, and Great Lakes freshwater research — has issued this list, firmly tongue in cheek.

Nicholas Sparks’ romance novel-turned-hit film “The Notebook” is headed to Broadway as a musical with producers Kevin McCollum and Kurt Deutsch in association with Sparks, it was announced on Thursday.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival lineup was announced on Wednesday night after months of speculation. Childish Gambino, Tame Impala and Ariana Grande are going to be performing at the show, along with dozens of other artists like The Pixies, The 1975, Billie Eilish, Solange and Khalid.

Or, in this case, is Grover, Sesame Street’s beloved sweet natured little Muppet, who would never a cuss word speak or even think, saying “Yes, Yes, That Sounds Like An Excellent Idea” or “Yes, Yes, That’s A Fucking Excellent Idea”. I mean, of course he’s not actually saying the f-word, or at least he doesn’t mean to, but man, you listen to this thing thinking he is, and you are in for a weird little shock.
