Netflix has become major competition for cable and other streaming networks, and that’s in part thanks to the quality content the subscription service delivers. And while it’s sad to see certain shows go away, the streaming service wouldn’t have room for new shows (Netflix plans to release 700 new shows and movies by the end of 2018 alone) if it didn’t ax others along the way.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... 3 male suspects smashed a front window a little after midnight on September 1 and entered the San Fernando Valley house. We're told a resident living there was pistol whipped.

We're told one of the 3 men yelled, "Where's Post Malone?!" ... before stealing a bunch of cash, jewelry and cell phones ... about $20k worth. The barking out of Post's name makes it clear they were targeting him, but it's been months since he lived there.

Nia Imani Franklin, the 23-year-old Miss New York, won the title of Miss America 2019 — which comes with $50,000 in college scholarships — on Sunday night at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ.

The 2017 titleholder, Cara Mund, who stirred serious controversy in the pageant world after publicly accusing Miss America organization leadership of “silencing” and “bullying” her during her reign, got a standing ovation from the live audience as she took her final walk in a gorgeous emerald Sherri Hill gown. Mac Miller died Friday of an apparent overdose ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Mac was found Friday at around noon at his San Fernando Valley home and was pronounced dead at the scene.  

We're told authorities were alerted by a male friend who placed a 911 call from Mac's home.

Miller has had trouble recently with substance abuse ... in the wake of his breakup with Ariana Grande. The rapper wrecked his G-Wagon by wrapping it around a utility pole back in May and was arrested for DUI and hit and run. He fled the scene but cops say he later confessed at his home. He blew 2 times the legal limit.

The crash occurred at 2:42 a.m. and police arrived to find Malone’s car through a fence. Click here for more.

CLEVELAND -- The city of Cleveland Planning Commission on Friday unveiled design plans for the replacement of the LeBron James banner downtown.

The new design features one of the guardians of the Hope Memorial Bridge that connects Lorain and Carnegie avenues and says, "All for The Land." The banner also bears the Cleveland Cavaliers and Destination Cleveland logos.

The James banner, which was displayed on the side of the Sherwin-Williams building, came down in early July after James announced his departure for Los Angeles.

Nicki Minaj is all about giving back.

On Wednesday, the "MotorSport" rapper revealed on her Beats 1 Queen Radio show that she is donating $25,000 to former Cosby Show actor Geoffrey Owens after he was shamed for working at Trader Joe's. Burt was transported to a Florida hospital after going into cardiac arrest. His family was by his side when he passed.
