To say 2019 is going to be a blockbuster year at the movies would be an understatement. We’ll see the culmination of the Avengers series and the third Star Wars trilogy. Live-action versions of Dumbo, Aladdin and The Lion King. New sequels to animated favorites Toy Story and Frozen. And the MCU’s first female-lead superhero movie, Captain Marvel.

There were a lot of sad and shocking celebrity deaths in 2018, and unfortunately once again ... many were the result of tragedies and stars taking their own lives.

After Jay-Z tried to persuade Travis Scott to dip out of the 2019 Super Bowl, it appears another big act is  dropping out. Cardi  B reportedly made a pass at perform the halftime show in support of Colin Kaepernick’s fight against the NFL. According to a close source, Cardi “doesn’t want to do it unless they roll out the red carpet for her.” She was set to perform alongside Maroon 5 for their single, "Girls Like You".

Almost 30 years after his shenanigans as Kevin McCallister, Macaulay Culkin is “Home Alone” again.

This time, he’s 38 and uses Google Assistant to help him fend off the wet bandits.

The minute-long ad recreates, frame by frame, many of the classic scenes from the original movie.

It starts off with an older Kevin coming down from the bed in attic, saying: “Mom? Dad?” followed by, “Google what’s on my calendar today?” He’s told it’s his “house to yourself day,” and the fun begins.

Penny Marshall, the amazing actress, comedian and director has died ... TMZ has learned.

Marshall died Monday night at her Hollywood Hills home. We've learned the cause of death was complications from diabetes.

Penny became famous from her sitcom, "Laverne & Shirley," which became a monster hit in 1976.

The Atlanta rapper crashed Cardi B's performance at the Rolling Loud Festival in Los Angeles Saturday night to very publicly ask his estranged wife to take him back.
He came onstage with a bouquet of flowers in hand and a cake reading, "TAKE ME BACK CARDI."

"I say stuff that I would never say in conversation with my friends. I just go for it.” “My entire family is shocked,′ Lowe said about his job. “Because I was so shy as a kid, just terribly shy. I wouldn’t want to go to school because I’d get so nervous. I was terrified of getting up in front of the class. Maybe in middle school, I was sort of class clownish. In high school I kept to myself. I was a wrestler.”

Daytime TV may become a little less nice in the summer of 2020. That’s when Ellen DeGeneres‘s contract for her talk show is up — and she’s considering retirement.

The comedian, 60, told the New York Times that she’s very seriously considering the move, which would allow her to pursue other projects, specifically ones that allow her to show more sides of her personality versus being the Queen of Nice all the time. While she keeps changing her mind about what she’ll do, DeGeneres says her wife, Portia de Rossi, is urging her to move on.

Offset is madly in love with Cardi B and plans to pull out all the stops to get her back, but he thinks there's a major hurdle in his way -- the legion of haters trying to take him down.

Sources close to the couple tell TMZ, Offset was desperately trying to save his marriage before Cardi made the announcement they were done. Even she acknowledged they'd been working on it "for a hot minute now."

We're told after the text messages about Cuban Doll surfaced, Offset tried to prove to his wife nothing came of the text exchange ... and he wasn't messing around with anyone.
