African Safari Wildlife Park reopening drive-thru Saturday

The African Safari Wildlife Park will reopen to the public Saturday.

The 65-acre drive-thru safari will be the only attraction available to guests from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the last car admitted at 4 p.m. The park’s Walk-Thru Safari, Safari Cafe and playgrounds will remain closed until further notice.

‘Stay Safe Ohio’: Dr. Acton extends Ohio’s stay-at-home order to May 29

Director of the Ohio Department of Health Director Dr. Amy Acton is extending the statewide stay-at-home order for another month amid the coronavirus crisis.

The mandate was set to expire on 11:59 p.m. on April 30 before Dr. Acton signed the extension late Thursday.

The updated “Stay Safe Ohio” order is now set to expire at 11:59 p.m. on May 29.

However, part of Governor Mike DeWine’s plan to reopen the state still kicks off on Friday with certain heath care providers treating patients again.

Employees and customers must wear face masks under reopening requirements

Gov. Mike DeWine announced on Monday that all employees and customers will be required to wear face masks at various types of businesses as they begin to reopen in Ohio next month.

The first of the state's five "Responsible Protocols" for all businesses as they begin to reopen is: "No mask, no work, no service, no exception. Require face coverings for employees and clients/customers at all times."
