Second stimulus check: Trump says ‘very generous’ payments could be announced soon

With job losses and COVID-19 cases mounting across the country, President Trump said in an interview Monday that there will be a second round of stimulus payments to Americans.

“We will be doing another stimulus package,” President Trump said in an interview with a Scripps correspondent.

Justin Bieber refutes sexual assault allegations: ‘This story is factually impossible’

Justin Bieber has denied allegations that he sexually assaulted a woman in 2014.

The woman, who posted from an anonymous Twitter account Saturday evening using the name Danielle, alleged she and her friends were invited to Bieber's room at the Four Seasons in Austin, Texas, after an event, where she was "sexually assaulted without consent." The tweet and account have since been removed from Twitter.

WHO reports largest single-day increase in coronavirus cases

The World Health Organization on Sunday reported the largest single-day increase in coronavirus cases by its count, at more than 183,000 new cases in the latest 24 hours.

The UN health agency said Brazil led the way with 54,771 cases tallied and the U.S. next at 36,617. Over 15,400 came in in India.

Experts said rising case counts can reflect multiple factors including more widespread testing as well as broader infection.

`That 70s Show’ actor Danny Masterson charged with raping 3 Women

The three counts of rape by force or fear come after a three-year investigation of the 44-year-old Masterson, The charges were filed Tuesday and an arrest warrant was issued, prosecutors said. It’s not clear whether he has been taken into custody.

Masterson is charged with raping a 23-year-old woman in 2001, a 28-year-old woman in early 2003 and a 23-year-old woman in late 2003.

According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office,  all of the alleged crimes occurred at Masterson’s Hollywood Hills home.

Aunt Jemima brand name, imagery ending after 131 years

PepsiCo, the parent company of Quaker Oats, said the Aunt Jemima brand name and imagery is coming to an end, it announced Wednesday.

Media outlets, including AdAge and AdWeek, reported that the name and imagery on the 131-year-old brand of pancake syrup and mix will change, though it’s not yet known to what.
