CHADWICK BOSEMAN DEAD AT 43 FROM COLON CANCER

Chadwick Boseman, the iconic "Black Panther" star, has died at age 43 after a 4-year battle with colon cancer.

His family released a statement, saying "It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the tragic passing of Chadwick Boseman. Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV."

They continue that "it was the honor of his career to bring King T'Challa to life in Black Panther."

One person killed in crash involving tanker truck on Route 8 in Akron

AKRON, Ohio (WJW) – One person was killed in a crash on Route 8 in Akron on Tuesday, the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed to FOX 8.

The Akron Police Department said Route 8 north between Tallmadge and Howe Ave. will be closed through Tuesday evening. ODOT later gave an update and said the area will be reduced to one lane from 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. Drivers should expect delays.

Police are also still conducting a crash investigation on the scene.

No details have yet been released on what caused the crash.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine says sports can move forward this fall

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WJW)– Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine announced a state order on Tuesday that will allow contact sports to move forward this fall amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The governor said there will not be any surprises in the order, which was not released at the time of his 2 p.m. COVID-19 news conference.

There will not be spectators other than family members or those close with the child. It will be up to the school to determine how that is implemented, DeWine said.
