Ohio health officials release guidance for holding trick-or-treat, Halloween festivities amid pandemic

The Ohio Department of Health released guidance Friday to help Ohioans safely celebrate Halloween amid the coronavirus pandemic.

While Governor Mike DeWine and other state officials say decisions on whether to participate in Halloween festivities should be made by local communities, individuals, and parents/guardians, Ohio has provided the following recommendations for Halloween festivities:

U.S. to start blocking TikTok and WeChat downloads Sunday

The U.S. will begin blocking the distribution of the Chinese apps TikTok and WeChat on Sunday, the Department of Commerce said Friday.

Commerce said in a news release that U.S. mobile platforms will be prohibited from distributing the apps, meaning new downloads will be blocked.
