Spirit Airlines announced it is temporarily pulling service from Akron-Canton Airport.

The hiatus, which is planned from June 5 through November, comes just weeks after the airline canceled hundreds of flights due to staffing, weather and other issues.

Elon Musk has reached a deal to buy Twitter.

The news was announced on Monday following Musk's offer to take over the social platform.

Twitter "has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by an entity wholly owned by Elon Musk, for $54.20 per share in cash in a transaction valued at approximately $44 billion. Upon completion of the transaction, Twitter will become a privately held company," the company said in a news release.

Gilbert Gottfried, the actor and legendary standup comic known for his raw, scorched voice and crude jokes, has died. He was 67.

Gottfried died from a rare genetic muscle disease that can trigger a dangerously abnormal heartbeat, his publicist and longtime friend Glenn Schwartz said in a statement.
