Adele Flips The Bird At Brit Awards

Adele shocked the audience at the Brit Awards when she gave the middle finger at Tuesday's ceremony.

The six-time Grammy winner won Album of the Year and Best British Female Solo Act awards at the ceremony and was cut off during her second acceptance speech, when she was accepting her award. When host James Corden appeared on stage, she asked "Are you about to cut me off? Can I just say then, goodbye and I'll see you next time 'round."

She then raised her middle finger to the crowd's applause and Corden introduced Blur's performance.

Corden said he was confused by the incident, telling ITV2 after the ceremony: "She's the biggest star in the world. I don't understand what happened but I'm upset about it. Blur played for 11 minutes and she didn't get chance to say thank you once."

ITV-who aired the event--has since apologized to Adele on Twitter: "We regret this happened & we send deepest apologies to Adele that her big moment was cut short tonight due to the live show over-running. We don't want this to undermine her incredible achievement in winning her incredible award. It tops off what's been an incredible year for her."

The Band Perry Christens New Ryman Auditorium Stage

The Band Perry was the first act to step onto the newly redone floor at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium. The stage now features a surface fashioned from Brazilian Teak.

The show was sold out and Kimberly Perry told the Tennessean that the new floor called for some new tracks from the group.

"It just felt like for a lot of reasons that was the right thing to do," she said. "We are just really, really excited to play these new songs on a brand new stage."

Reid Perry explained that some of the new songs, six in total, were newer than others.

"Some of the new songs we've had for about a year now, and then others are brand new," he said.

Neil Perry added that their recent material drew from some masters of the Southern literary tradition including Flannery O'Connor and William Faulkner.

Adam Lambert And Queen To Headline Sonisphere Fest

An Adam Lambert-fronted Queen will headline the Saturday night portion of England's Sonisphere Festival on July 7.

"Judging by my incoming mail, this decision will make a lot of people very happy," guitarist Brian May said in the announcement.

Lambert, since rising to fame following his appearance on U.S. television show American Idol, has joined Queen to replace original frontman Freddie Mercury who died in 1991.

"I'm sure Adam would meet with Freddie's approval," May noted.

The concert will also mark Queen's return to Knebworth Park 25 years after one of their most legendary performances.

"What better place to revisit, and walk those emotional paths than Knebworth?" said May. "It will be a rush."

The three night festival kicks off Friday, July 6 at Knebworth Park and will feature headliners KISS (Friday, July 6) and Faith No More (Sunday, July 8). Other bands that will round out the bill include Evanescence, Incubus, The Darkness, Mastodon, Marilyn Manson, Refused, I Killed The Prom Queen and The Blackout.
