The grass field has been removed inside Marlington Stadium and replaced by white gravel.
That substance will serve as a base for the next part of the football field turf installation project, which is scheduled to begin today.
“Having field turf is the next step for our athletic program,” Marlington Local School Superintendent Joe Knoll said Monday afternoon.
